You may remember Charlie…We first brought you his story last month in an 18 News Special Report.
He was only in his 20’s when he was diagnosed with the same disease that claimed the life of his father and grandfather before him.
Now, the former police officer is asking for your help in finding the kidney that could save his life.
Doctors tell Charlie he has a 1 in 1,000 chance of getting a transplant, so for now he continues his fight with expensive dialysis treatments.
Charlie’s family has organized an event to raise money to help offset some of his medical costs.
It’s happening Sunday, January 20th at the Corning Local 1000 Union Hall located at 100 Nasser Civic Center Plaza.
Tickets are just $8 if you buy them ahead of time or $10 dollars at the door.
