Former Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari was forced to call off a press conference due to ill-health after suffering an ‘attack’ from kidney stones.

According to Sun (UK), the incident occurred while the 70-year-old football tactician was speaking after his side, Palmeiras played out a 1-1 draw in Sunday’s clash with Red Bull Brasil.

In a video clip, the former World Cup winner was captured in severe pains as he tried to make a point without success, prompting him to end the exercise.

He calmed himself down before apologizing to his audience. "I can’t do this anymore, sorry,” the former Selecao manager pleaded as he took his leave, even as he struggled to back on his feet less than four minutes the conference commenced. The report further revealed that Scolari received medical attention that helped to relieve his pain.

Scolari has been battling a renal colic – which is also known an abdominal pain caused by kidney stones.

During Scolari’s reign at Chelsea he was also treated for a kidney-related ailment. "I am in a lot of pain. They say it is more pain than when you have a baby but I don’t know as I have not had one. The Brazilian will be looking forward to return to the dugout on Wednesday night when Palmerias tackle Botafogo.
